KINGS POINT COMPUTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 4TH, 2011

Our meeting began at 12 noon. Jerry Frank, President, was the only leader
for this meeting. We used the new wiring to connect to our Web Master,
Pamela Tabak, who was sitting in her home in Toronto, Canada. She gave us an
overview of buying and selling on E-Bay. We heard her very
clearly and she answered questions as they were asked. The PowerPoint
presentation that Pamela had prepared was projected onto our screen so that
the members could follow along. Our members were
expecting this and were really involved with this procedure. Pamela had a
question and answer time after the entire program was completed.
Kings Point Computer Club is
State-of-the-Art up and running. Setting up proved a bit of a task for
one person, Kemal, a Tech Expert for Vista, formerly known as Point
Management was a big help.
Pamela gave us all the most
important points
of selling and buying on eBay. It is an art and needs to be perfected; people
who buy from you are asked about their experience and these statements,
written as Feedbacks after each sale, are very important to your
integrity as a seller and will remain on your record as long as you are
trading on eBay.
Pamela advised that clear, high
resolution pictures should be taken showing any defects that the product
may have so that the buyer does not have any surprises. Also it is a
good idea to advise the customer, by email, when their item has been
shipped.
Problems that may arise with a
buyer were explained and solutions were suggested.
We look forward to live interviews
with people who will help us to answer questions on subjects of interest
to our members.
Regards, Jerry
Respectfully submitted by
Phyllis Frank, Secretary
