KINGS POINT COMPUTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 7th, 2012

Jerry Frank, President, began the meeting by requesting those members who did not receive an E-mail regarding this meeting? Several people said they had not and they were asked to come to the front of the room and sign up again and we would make sure that they would receive future notices.

Please, if you have changed your server or email address, let us know. Without your E-mail address you will not receive KPCC notices and club news about our future programs. Don't miss out! We want to keep in touch!

Our speaker for this meeting was Jerry Naditch, V.P. of the Boca Raton Computer Society. Jerry’s subject was “Google Re-Dux” featuring how to use Google for free long-distance phone calls and to other countries for pennies. Jerry created a PowerPoint presentation which is can be viewed on our website HERE and printed. Print just the pages you need or the whole presentation. Keep it in a binder for future reference. You can also print out the other tutorials on the Hot Tips Page. These tutorials make a valuable reference when you need more information.

GOOGLE VOICE
Jerry explained how it's possible to have one phone number which rings anywhere you may be located as long as your phone is connected to the internet. Get transcribed voice
mail messages delivered to your email in-box. You also get cheap calls , free calls and text messages to the US & Canada and Super low rates everywhere else. You need to sign on and give a password – remember to record your password in a location you always use for Passwords.

MMS has been one of the constant feature requests since we launched Google Voice and we’ve been hard at work trying to make this happen. Today, we’re happy
to announce that we’ve made the first step in our efforts - One Number- Rings on one or more of your phones – Voice mail – Online (Text or Audio) or via telephone
and Free long-distance.

There is much, much more to this program. See it for yourself on-line at our website. Remember the web address and visit often for updates and notices:  http://kingspointcomputerclub.org/

An extended Question and Answer followed the presentation. We really enjoyed Jerry’s presentation and learned a great deal. Thanks much Mr. Jerry Naditch!

Less Hallock, V.P. brought some photos of our K.P.C.C. Computer Cruise on the Norwegian Sky. It was a lovely event joined by 8 members who will eagerly join in
another sponsored trip, please come with us, this was a fun/Learning trip.

Respectfully submitted, Phyllis Frank, Secretary
